In behaviour classic of Jason and his ilk, he refuses to acknowledge the proof presented here that he is part of a death cult.
Jason is one of the worst types of christian; in the face of all evidence to the contrary they insist upon spreading the lie that their god is a loving being who brings life, when it obviously happens in spite of him. Jason would much rather believe that his god is kind, gentle and benevolent and that all christians are good people, even when faced with the truth of the horrible atrocities they've committed to 'glorify their god'.
The list I provided of the scriptures in which god either ordered the murders of thousands of people or promised his followers rewards for doing it themselves was just a small sampling of the passages in the bible that glorify murder, yet Jason would rather pretend this doesn't exist.
The list of horrors committed by christians in god's name is equally long, and again what was posted here was but a small sample, and again we see Jason pretending like none of it ever happened in order to protect his belief in the fictional all-loving god.
Flat refusal to accept the truth makes Jason a weak christian, the kind who likes to spout off sanctimoniously about what good people christians are (in a comparison to everyonbe else the christian always ends up being a better person, of course), and how loving their god is, but when it comes time to put that faith to the test (or actually learn something other than what he's picked up at church), he runs away screaming in terror. He masks that terror with arrogance by pretending that the question isn't worth answering, the subject not worth learning about, or the person not worth speaking to (and one wonders what his pastor would think about Jason refusing to spread the message because he felt that the person to whom he is speaking is beneath him?), but it's obvious what the real motivation is.
He is, quite simply, afraid to examine his beliefs too closely. The thought of introspection bothers him quite a bit, judging by all of the questions he leaves unanswered and points he refuses to expand upon.
Jason, to quote Jack Nicholson, 'can't handle the truth'.
Because if he has to accept one truth about his religion he has previously refused to accept, then he'll have to re-examine the whole thing and the last thing christians like him want is to have to do that. Intellectually, logically and honestly they'll have to admit that things are not as they would like to believe. It means they realize that the christianity they've been aligning themselves with is a pretty lie created many centuries ago to make the combined package look more palatable to outsiders, and more acceptable to those within the cult who wish to maintain the fantasy of a loving christian god.
So basically, Jason, you can take your arrogant, holier-than-thou-better-than-you attitude and stick it forcibly sideways and sans lube up your pompous, frightened ass.
If there's still some space left that isn't occupied by your head, that is.

Proof that christianity is indeed a death cult
The proof that christianity is a death cult is evident not only in the bible itself, but in the actions of christians. Motivated by scripture, christians have been almost perpetually at war since their religion began. But before I go on to the behavior of christians, I will highlight scripture from the bible that clearly demonstrates how violent and death oriented it is.
David commits multiple murder:
"And he brought out the people that were in it, and cut them with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes..." (I Chronicles 20:3)
Then he commits mass murder after the conflict has stopped:
...Even so dealt David with all the cities of the children of Ammon. And David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
God commands Moses to commit mass murder:
"And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel. And the LORD said unto Moses, 'Take all the heads of the people and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.'" (Numbers 25:3-4)
How about the book of Judges, in which Gideon not only commits murder after murder, he sires a child who then goes on to murder 69 of his half-brothers. He also made an agreement with god that ended in mass slaughter then ROBBED THE BODIES AND GRAVES of the murder victims in order to obtain jewels for his vestments: Scripture too long to post here, read Judges chapters 6-9
God commits mass murder of firstborns in Egypt:

The reign of the Knights Templar (who met a violent end themselves)
Hunts, trials, torture and murder of innocent people accused of withccraft in medieval times
The creation and widespread use of the Malleus Maleficarum
European witch hunts which left multiple villages empty of women and young girls, who were tortured and killed
The Salem Witch hysteria
The Holocaust (Hitler was a christian who believed himself in charge of a holy mission to wipe out the Jews)
Jim Jones mass murder-suicide in Guyana
Jeffrey Lundgren and his cult (who murdered an entire family they saw as sinners - who were also members of the church Lundgren formed)
Heaven's Gate (Mass suicide generated by leader who loathed himself because of his sexuality, they believed in a mix of biblical doctrine and UFOs. The suicide was triggered by the Hale-Bopp comet)
Murder (both carried out and attempted) of abortion doctors, justified by scripture
The current war in Iraq (Bush has openly talked about how his fundamentalist beliefs motivate his decisions)
Fred Phelps and his congregation picketing funerals
Need more proof that christianity is a death cult? I don't see how (though I can definitely provide it). The bible openly states that murder of non-believers and other men, women and children is justified - even commanded - by god, and I have listed many examples of how christians have been motivated by scripture to kill or take their own lives.
If anyone can examine this evidence and still think the christian god is all about love and that the religion itself is not a death cult I truly pity him or her for their inability to see the truth. Continue on with your heads in the sand, living under the yoke of an oppressive, violent, anti-woman religion while the rest of us actually enjoy our lives.

How efficient...
How efficient and useful this new blogger system is!
Not only are the site owners not giving us the option of choosing (are they conservatives?), wether or not we even want to use the new version (eventually all blogs will be migrated according to an article I read recently), once I switched over I found that no matter what I did my blog refused to appear on my list. I can't change the template, post...nothing.
So I had to start over.
Now, when we last left the first blog, Jason was, as per his usual custom, refusing to answer a simple and direct question.
Namely, if I and the scores of others who have left christianity are all wrong about the true nature of the religion, then why not set us straight and explain what it really is? In his own words. I opened up the door and invited him in to talk religion, an invitation that no christian I've ever met would be able to resist. They LIVE for that shit. The potential to add another soul to their scorecards is like running the can opener in a cat's earshot.
So why does he continue to refuse?
Well, first there was the asinine assertion that I am a 'brick wall' and would refuse to listen. Not so. I did NOT ask Jason to defend christianity (which we already know from reading PZ's blog he patently refuses to do).
What I asked him to do was describe his thoughts and feelings on the subject. In other words, explain what he thinks christianity is.
I'd much rather hear/read/learn something personal than get the standard cookie cutter 'the bible is the ultimate truth and that's just the way it is' argument. After years of hearing that stupid shit my mind and ears have completely closed to it. What I want is the personal meaning; what YOU think it is.
So I am once again presenting the opportunity.
In return I will present evidence that christianity is a death cult. Evidence will come in the form of biblical scripture and events that have been triggered/motivated by it.
Let's consider it an exchange of information.

Now, when we last left the first blog, Jason was, as per his usual custom, refusing to answer a simple and direct question.
Namely, if I and the scores of others who have left christianity are all wrong about the true nature of the religion, then why not set us straight and explain what it really is? In his own words. I opened up the door and invited him in to talk religion, an invitation that no christian I've ever met would be able to resist. They LIVE for that shit. The potential to add another soul to their scorecards is like running the can opener in a cat's earshot.
So why does he continue to refuse?
Well, first there was the asinine assertion that I am a 'brick wall' and would refuse to listen. Not so. I did NOT ask Jason to defend christianity (which we already know from reading PZ's blog he patently refuses to do).
What I asked him to do was describe his thoughts and feelings on the subject. In other words, explain what he thinks christianity is.
I'd much rather hear/read/learn something personal than get the standard cookie cutter 'the bible is the ultimate truth and that's just the way it is' argument. After years of hearing that stupid shit my mind and ears have completely closed to it. What I want is the personal meaning; what YOU think it is.
So I am once again presenting the opportunity.
In return I will present evidence that christianity is a death cult. Evidence will come in the form of biblical scripture and events that have been triggered/motivated by it.
Let's consider it an exchange of information.
Come on, Jason. The can opener is running.
